Overview:

I visited north Finland for 4 months during an artist-in-residence program. The atmosphere of the area, especially the nature and the sun that did not set during the time of visit, inspired me to compose pieces of music. The Kalevala is a 19th-century work of epic poetry and Finnish oral folklore and mythology, compiled by Elias Lönnrot from Karelian.
